Treasures to Share

Oh happy day!!! I am lovin this sunshine!!!

Wanted to share some of my finds from this weekend.

Got this bucket O' rocks at a local garage sale. I love metal buckets and the rocks will find a new home in my back yard.

Here is a buffet that Mike and I went to Gresham and picked up. Buyers beware. I asked the woman selling it how long it was. She had told me 53 inches. No problem, that will fit in my Subaru!!! WRONG. She had mis-measured and it was more like almost 70 inches long. Mike and I had to move the front seats all the way up to the windshield which made getting home a real challenge especially when I had to shift!!!! And Pee!!!!

Look at the detail on this drawer....It was a real steal!!!!


Tight Fit...

Here is a bench that I had bought yesterday that was a hideous honey pine color...YUK
It got the shabby white treatment and looks superb!

I got this dresser last week. When I looked at it online it looked a lovely ivory color. Low and behold when I went to pick it up saw it was a mustard color which is growing on me.. I did take my sander to it and gave it some distressing.

I love this old coffee grinder. Still had some coffee in it. Not sure what language this is, anyone want to take a shot at it???

It is a real jewel.

Pray for a Cure

This is a post that will be hard for me to write!

We have just learned that my sister by blood and my friend by choice, Debbie, was just diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It was thought she would need just a quick fix, but as it turns out it will be a lot more extensive.

This is the third time Cancer has touched our family. My husband was diagnosed with Leukemia 2 years ago this June (He is now in Remission) and my Mother in law last August (she is also doing great). Please help me pray for a cure for this awful disease that takes away the ones we love.

On a lighter side Christa and I are getting ready to take our prims to Snohomish, WA for their 150th year anniversary Antique and Art show, Saturday-May 16th.

Mothers Day Plant & Garden Fair

Christa and I are getting ready for the Mothers Day Plant & Garden Fair. This Saturday, May 9th from 9-4 in Downtown Camas, WA. Here are a few sneak peaks of some goodies we will be bringing.

This chair of Christa's just might have to come home with me!!!

I also will be bring a great assortment of goats milk soap, gardeners healing salve, french lavender bed bath & body spray and my wonderful vanilla mint hand & foot creme.

All Work~No Play

This weekend was all about the chores~!!@@@

Did I get to play?- nope

Did I get to Junk?- nope

Did I get to garage sale?-nope

Did I get to see my friends Debbie and Laurie at Vintage Secrets?-nope

May 1st was the first day of wood cutting permits....So me and the hubs went a wood cuttin.

Of course we could start small.....Oh, but no. We found the biggest downed tree above Carson we could find. WOW, did we get a work out. Not only Saturday, but Sunday to. And not only did I do woodcutting but I also had Kindred Spirit Soap Chores to.

Make foot creme, make shea butter, label them. Oh, and I threw in some painting and laundry for good measure.

Mike is one heck of a stacker. Look at those rows, all even, no holes....

He grumbled at my stackin job. I explained to him "I am doing the best that I can"...

(I failed wood stackin 101 you know)

I believe the comment I got was "my best sucked".....Well I never....

Here is a pic of my Dogwood Tree. I love this tree. Mike's grandma planted this tree when our house was built.

We have a lot of history in our little home. Mike's dad grew up here, we purchased it from his grandfather after his grandma had died.

Love my flowers!!!!
Lilacs are my all time favorite.

What Happened To The Sun

Last Saturday was the Big Day of the Whimsical Wishes Sale. The only person that forgot to come was Mr. Sunshine!!!!!

Instead he sent Mrs. Rain....Thanks a lot....

However, we didn't let it get us down. Friday set up we were blessed by the golden rays of warmth....Oh how I long for Summer.

Here is my daughter and cashier Shelby....Isn't she pretty.

Peggy (the sweetest, most enthusiastic person I know) from Cricket On the Hearth (JBUGS) had some wonderful treasures. We seemed to trade money back and forth all day, she got some nice things from us and we from her.


Sheniquah was ready to greet her customers....Decked out in Vintage Lingerie...

It's Gettin Close!!!

I can not believe our show is just 10 days away. I have been busy prettying up the yard (you know the fun stuff, bark dust, weeding, flowers etc.) and Christa has been busy painting all her beautiful treasures. We will be posting some sneak peeks here in a few days.
