Vashon Beach Cottage

Mike, Sidney and I headed to Vashon Island, WA to participate in Island Thyme's 2nd Annual Antiques & Collectible Flea Market.
We had a really great time. Our beach cottage was very relaxing. Hot tubing on the Sound as we watched the ferry's float by drink in hand!!!! AAAHHHHHH
We ran into my friend Erin, from "Rickety Picket". She surprised us as a participating vendor.
She makes the best barn wood signs and is the sweetest person ever!
Of course I had forgotten my camera so just sent an email plea to Christa to send me
some of hers.

A big thank you to Tami Reno and Shelley for making our weekend sooo much fun!!!

My Daughter Sarah

For those who do not know her, this is my daughter Sarah. She will be 20 in December. (That's her with the long brown hair). She went over sized sturgeon fishing with some of her Friends from work on Bobby D.'s Boat in the Columbia River. She is not your average girl. Give her camping and fishing trips and she is in heaven.
She also works at a Sportsman Store where she fits right in.
Here is the Sturgeon she hooked. It took all four people on the boat to pull it in.

Oh, how I wish she would have been able to keep it!!!
YUM!
BTW, Mike and I found out we are going to be Grandparents!!!
Sarah and her fiance Christopher are expecting their first child sometime early January.
New baby for the new year. I am tickled pink!!!!
Did anyone say vintage baby furniture????
Have a great day

Project Sharing

Have you ever bought a piece of furniture that your not real crazy about and one of your friends or family needs a piece just like it? Being the oh so nice person (daughter) that you (I) are (am) you offer it and even volunteer to paint it for them!. Then when you get the project finished it is love at first sight and you would rather die first that just give it away???
Well that is my story.
This bed was that Robins Egg Blue that I love soo much (but way to much of it) so I decided before it was painted to let my Mom have it for her new apartment. So I got started on this project. Now it is done and I want it, I want it, I want it....
No, you cant take it its mine...sniffle sniffle...

I even decked it out with some vintage barn boards for slats...Look how great it looks.
I can't believe what I have done.
But being the really nice daughter that I am, it is going into the Expedition to make the trek to my Moms new place. Bye Bye My Beautiful Bed. I will miss you!!!

Hope you all have a fantastic week!

A Trip To Redmond, OR

This past weekend Mike and I celebrated our 17 year Wedding Anniversary. So we headed for Redmond, OR for some R&R. We stopped at the Petersen Rock Garden along the way. Cute vintage metal garden chair!!!

Look at this amazing view.

The Three Sisters.

Here is Shelby. She celebrated a milestone birthday. Sweet 16!!!
She brought a couple of friends along for some fun in the sun!!

Here is the view from out of our back deck. We stayed at Eagle Crest Resort. What an incredible room we had!

Hi Sidney!!!

My favorite part of the room. This corner jetted tub. Soooo relaxing.

Be sure to check out the Kindred Roses Blog to see all the treasures I carted home>
I will be posting them this evening.
Have a wonderful day.
